Hotel meets Homestead in the Heart of Marfa, Texas

BOHEMIO wasn’t born overnight. It began in 2012, when we first laid eyes on the magic of Marfa. From the moment we arrived, something clicked. The land, the light, the art—it all felt like it was calling us home. We couldn’t stop thinking about it, and in 2017, we finally made it ours. What began as a dream has slowly, carefully, and purposefully evolved over the years—starting with a restaurant called “Al Campo” that helped us connect with this community, and eventually blossomed into the place we’ve always wanted to share with those who crave a simple, soulful escape.

By 2021 and 2022, we expanded and transformed this land into BOHEMIO — a space where the soul of Marfa, the spirit of freedom, and the pursuit of quiet beauty come together in a place that feels like home. In Fall of 2024, the Raconteur Lodge, the final piece of this puzzle, was completed, marking the culmination of a journey we’ve been on for over a decade.

At BOHEMIO, we offer more than a place to stay — we offer a chance to return to what matters. Inspired by our love of Marfa and our wanderlust, this is a space where the comforts of understated hotel luxury meet the soul of a homestead. A place where the noise of the modern world fades away, and the quiet hum of vinyl records, the crackle of a fire, and the whisper of the wind in the trees take over.

The design of BOHEMIO is an expression of our values: simplicity, connection, and a rejection of the chaos that surrounds us. We wanted to create something that felt timeless—like the kind of place you stumble upon in a novel or a song, and instantly feel at peace. With thick adobe walls and high windows that invite in natural light, each space offers privacy and tranquility while keeping you connected to the vast sky above and grounded on the land below.

When we set out to create this space, we didn’t just want to make a resort. We wanted to make a home for those who need a break from the noise, a place where time moves at its own pace, and the only agenda is your own.
